From Greg in AP forum The OP magazines are compiled by the company that handles/compiles all of OP's promotional material.They're not written by Oda. They're written by individuals who know and love the series very well.
They are approved by (multiple) editors past and present with present doing the hardest checks. Sometimes, the information provided -like fanbooks of yore- are written by staff who are just as curious about certain elements as you and I.
Sometimes...their writing may give the reader a glimpse into OP's greatest secrets. And sometimes...they're just putting a fun theory out there.

From “Saigou” to “Jinbe": The History of the First Son of the Sea’s Conception
Saigou: that was the name of Jinbe as originally conceived. As you can imagine from the name, the image was a big body touching the sky with a monk’s shaved head. Based on this, after so many character concept drawings, and with the idea of a whale shark fish-man in mind, the final design solidified.

First Son of the Sea Jinbe Changed Six Times!! In the early story, the name of First Son of the Sea Jinbe was brought up. But until he showed up in Impel Down, the design changed a lot. In the first draft, he looked like an obvious bad guy sea monk (NOTE: Umibozu, like they called Wadatsumi). After that, he got the top knot and slowly changed to how he looks now. Likewise, his personality also changed. In the early stages, he was a dynamic boss character.
(NOTE: I double-checked about the villain part, and it explicitly said he LOOKED like a villain, not that he WAS one.)

Moku Moku no Mi (a.k.a Plume Plume Fruit)

The power that grants you the ability to turn your body into smoke
A logia fruit that enables it's wielder to turn their body into smoke that exceeds even physical capacity of the wielder's body.
The strong point of this fruit is that even though it is just smoke, it allows it's user to (grab/take hold of) physical objects.
Smoke itself doesn't have the ability to kill or inflict injuries but it is incredibly effective for apprehending and rendering enemies powerless.
In addition to being able to capture multiple enemies simultaneously by expanding the surface area of the smoke, the wielder can even capture a devil fruit user like Alvida by making use of fluid smoke.
The current wielder of the fruit, Smoker, can apply his smoke in such a way that it acts like power to rev up the engine of his Billow Bike and can use it to control his bike.
It's incredibly difficult to control this fruit and just the process turning one part of the body into smoke cannot accomplished in short amount of time and although it requires a very high level of skill/experience to utilize this fruit effectively, the plus side of this ability is that it can be utilized in a diverse plethora of ways. By utilizing the propulsive force that is generated from transforming the body into smoke, the wielder can fire their fist to long distances and even fly by transforming their lower body into smoke.
It is an all-purpose fruit than can be used for both attack and defense.

In Oda's notes, the original version of chapter one would have had Nami *and* Morgan appear. The note they have here says that the chapter one that appears in volume one is shockingly different.

"Plot A" of chapter one which would have featured a cannon Morgan and Luffy who wants to be a "Pirate" instead of a Pirate king.
Instead of meeting Koby, he would have met Nami who was stealing treasure from pirates, and Morgan would have used a weapon similar to a Buggy ball.

Plot "B" is the actual first chapter that was approved and published which features Shanks appearance. Odacchi's also mentions about Garp's existence.
It shouldn't be surprising since he had also included Garp in the one-shot published before ONE PIECE.
Plot A of Zoro's intro is about him & Luffy's encounter & his joining the crew as the first member.
His story is explained with him being a fearsome Pirate hunter & fighting alongside Luffy against Morgan.
Plot B explains his past with Kuina & Plot C includes Rika & Helmeppo.

OP Mag talks about the Straw Hat and how Luffy got it from Shanks, and Roger had it on when he met Rayleigh. Though the interesting part is they mention the large hat in Mariejois and also how Shyarly foresaw the destruction of FI by Luffy's hands, as if the SH connects them...

if you look very closely at the medical equipment that Whitebeard was using , you can see a familiar sign , is there any connection between Whitebeard and Doflamingo ?
